Whoever came up with the term "Non-View" as a real estate category should be shot! No, it doesn't mean you're in the middle of a black hole, that you can't see anything, it means there is no ocean view. Problem is, we're stuck with the term and stuck with having to explain it. Now that we've gotten that out of our way... Inland from the coast -- it could be 200 feet or 15 miles away from the shoreline -- while properties may not have an oceanview, they may be wonderfully impressive. Many have views across valleys or forested hills or meadows, with towering redwoods and Douglas firs. With each mile inland from the coast, the climate changes from ocean breezes and cool fog to warmer temperatures and, with less fog, brighter, sunnier days. Inland properties vary widely in size, too, from an acre or two to 20 or 40 acres to some few over 100. There are small farm properties, timber-producing parcels and ranchlands... there are undeveloped parcels of every size and description.
